NAV CANADA Appoints Mark Cooper as New President and CEO

NAV CANADA has announced the appointment of Mark Cooper who will take on the role of President and CEO, effective December 2, 2024. Cooper’s appointment follows the upcoming retirement of Raymond G. Bohn, who has led NAV CANADA through significant challenges and initiatives. Bohn will remain involved through the leadership transition until the end of the year.

With more than 25 years of experience in aviation, Cooper has been instrumental in shaping NAV CANADA’s strategic direction since joining the organization in 2019 as Vice President and Chief Technology and Information Officer. His career includes leadership roles at Deloitte and Lockheed Martin, where he managed global aviation solutions across air traffic management, airports, and airlines.

Michelle Savoy, Chair of the Board of Directors of NAV CANADA, highlighted Cooper’s qualifications, stating, “Mark brings a proven track record of innovation, supporting operational excellence, and visionary leadership. We are confident his expertise will guide NAV CANADA through its next chapter and reinforce our commitment to providing value to stakeholders through enhanced safety, efficiency, resiliency, and sustainable growth.”
