Methods of Payment for Membership Transactions

Effective October 1, 2023, the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA) will no longer accept any form of payment other than credit cards for new memberships and for the renewal of memberships. Additionally, members are encouraged to select the “automatic renewal” option to ensure that your membership remains in good standing.

Please note that COPA does not have access to credit card information. Your card details are held and protected by our payment system Stripe. This change will improve efficiency and reduce costs for the association and will ultimately help to fulfil our mission and better serve our members. Please note that COPA will still accept cheques for donations of $100 or more to the Freedom to Fly Fund and to the Flight Safety Foundation.

Membership Refunds and Trial Policy

COPA memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once payment is made, no refunds will be issued, with the exception of extenuating circumstances made at the discretion of the association. Members can opt-in for a monthly membership option for a minimal 30-day commitment.

Student Memberships

Although student memberships are submitted online, there is an approval process to accept them. Please ensure that your student proof provided includes your name, date and that you are currently enrolled in flight training. Accepted proof is either a letter from your Flight Training Unit or Flight Instructor. Flight logbooks, receipts of payment, or Government issued forms will not be accepted.

Log in Issues

If you are unable to log into copanational.org or copanational.glueup.com, please try resetting your password using the “forgot password” button.

If you are unable to log into canadianplanetrade.com, please send an email to communications@copanational.org

Do you have an expired password? Many login issues are a result of an expired password. A system requirement is that all passwords expire automatically. This is a system setting outside of the control of COPA. You can change the period between your password expiry interval by logging into your COPA account at copanational.glueup.com and follow the steps in this video: https://youtu.be/pcxVqrRPX7c

Membership Renewal

 

If you are requesting a renewal, please check your email for a message titled “It’s time to renew”. This email contains your renewal link. If you haven’t received this renewal, email it might be because your membership might not be up for renewal yet. Renewal begins 30 days before the expiration date. You cannot renew earlier. We also recommend turning on automatic renewals so you can just put your COPA membership on autopilot.

If you are inquiring about a submitted but undecided Student Membership application, please wait for a decision, we will move it forward as soon as possible.
