COPA Welcomes Stephen Hayward to Board of Directors
COPA is pleased to welcome Stephen Hayward as the new Regional Director for Newfoundland and Labrador.
Flying out of Paddy’s Pond (CCQ5) near St. John’s, Stephen is a lifelong aviation enthusiast with more than 12 years of flying experience. He owns and operates a Cessna 182 Amphibian and currently serves as Captain of COPA Flight 97, after previously holding the role of Co-Captain.
During his time with Flight 97, Stephen has been instrumental in growing membership, supporting flight operations, and strengthening the aviation community through local fly-ins and events.
With more than 30 years of experience in construction and commercial real estate, and past leadership on several provincial and national boards, Stephen brings valuable governance experience to COPA’s Board.
“I am very pleased to be representing COPA members within Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Hayward. “We have a diverse aviation community spread across the province with many different concerns, and I look forward to being their voice on the national board. My goal will be to simply represent and provide a conduit for them with COPA National.”
COPA would like to extend its utmost gratitude to Bill Mahoney, who previously held the role and has stepped down. We are very grateful for Bill’s hard work and dedication and wish him all the best in the future.
For members in Newfoundland and Labrador that wish to get in contact with Stephen, he can be reached via email at shayward@copanational.org
Welcome aboard Stephen!
