Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect. (Captain A. G. Lamplugh)

Though it has become much safer over the last thirty to forty years, general aviation is still faced with incidents and accidents that can be avoided with proper risk management and decision-making.

The importance of our free refresher training

COPA’s safety seminars play an important role in mitigating the inherent risks associated with flying. These regularly occurring online events help pilots enhance their skills and knowledge, resulting in the potential decrease of incidents and accidents.

Our seminars highlight key safety considerations for recreational pilots and are made available for free thanks to the generous support of our proud sponsors. Some of these seminars meet the 24-month pilot recurrent training program (PRTP) requirements of CAR 401.05(2)(a).

Help promote the strong safety culture within general aviation by attending our safety seminars.
