Certified aircraft in Canada are manufactured aircraft that are required to conform to strict standards mandated by Transport Canada. The Canadian fleet of certified aircraft consists of airplanes, helicopters, and gliders. Ballons, gyroplanes, and ultralights cannot be certified in Canada.

da42-twin-star-14Pilots of certified aircraft must have either a Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, Airline Transport License, Glider Pilot License, or Recreational Pilot Permit.
