Brian Pound

Brian PoundBrian flies his own Cessna 340 and is a partner in a Piper Cherokee 180.

As a Canadian pilot, Brian has been very involved with the GA Community, attending eight COPA conventions over the years and being a Maritime COPA director from 2016-2020. Currently, Brian has served as Chairman of the COPA awards committee for the past three years and has been a COPA member since 1985, along with long time memberships in EAA, AOPA and the Twin Cessna Group and has attended numerous conventions and airshows in Canada and the USA.

Along with the other Maritime director, Brian Pinsent, he won the 2014 International Air Rally and has been the Ambassador on several subsequent Air Rallies.

His Father served 32 years in the RCAF as a result aviation was always an interest from his earliest memories so earning his Pilot’s License was a dream come true for him. In the past few years he has visited events at 29 local airports and has been invited to be on display at 4 Atlantic Air Shows.

With memberships in 4 flying clubs in 3 Provinces and President of the PEIFA (COPA Flight 57) for the past 14 years along with being a Multi IFR pilot has given Brian an appreciation of issues facing COPA. This experience will make him a valuable and outspoken member of the COPA Board.
