We are sad to relay the sudden passing of aviation photographer Eric Dumigan. Eric was a second-generation aviation photographer known worldwide for his skill and artistry to get multitudes of award winning shots and numerous magazine covers over his long career.

A sample of some of the photography by Eric Dumigan and his lasting impact on the Canadian aviation industry.

He has been “The Guy” to photograph any new, vintage, historically significant aircraft or just people that wanted to deal with the master. He has been a fixture in General Aviation, Airshows and Warbird Aviation telling the story masterfully through his pictures as has been highlighted in the past few days by a huge outpouring of support and personal recognition from The Canadian Forces Snowbirds, The Warplane Heritage Museum, Vintage Wings of Canada and hundreds of personal messages with a stories of the unbelievably talented, professional, passionate and kind person that he was.

He will be missed by many but thankfully, he leaves behind an amazing anthology of every aspect of Canadian Aviation. Our thoughts go out to his wife Bernadette and his family and friends in this difficult time.

Friends of Eric Dumigan have created a Gofundme page to help the family with their financial burden after his unexpected passing.
