A friendly gathering of friends, aviators and enthusiasts came together on September 4 to enjoy the day at Roger Deming’s fly-in.
The facility has two grass airstrips – 2000’X60’ N/S and 1360’X70’ E/W. Many aircraft participated including a Chipmunk, Tiger Moth as well as a good variety of classic and contemporary aircraft. View more photos from Roger Deming’s fly-in.
Earlier on September 2, Ontario’s Trillium Aviators visited Orillia Rama Regional Airport. The group has seen a dramatic increase in members and participation in their weekly fly-outs. The Thursday September 2nd fly-in to Orillia Airport is a good example of the popularity of this type of event. More than 50 aircraft participated despite the unfavourable weather conditions.
There were many beautiful aircraft on the field but the Stinson (Big Red) and the Westland Lysander were the highlights of the day. View more photos of the event here.
