To replace letter mail, Civil Aviation Medicine (CAM) has started using Canada Post’s epost Connect service to securely exchange confidential information with Medical Certificate (MC) applicants.
How it works
CAM initiates an epost Connect “conversation” with an applicant by sending a link to their regular email account. The link guides the applicant to the message hosted on the secure Canada Post website. The applicant can then communicate with CAM and send uploaded documents through the Canada Post website.
CAM understands that people are often hesitant to click on links that are emailed to them, due to the rising number of phishing scams. CAM is addressing this concern by sending out an email first to inform applicants to expect a link to epost Connect.
• Please ensure that the email address listed on your (Medical Evaluation Report) MER is the one you check regularly. This is the email address that CAM will use to communicate with you.
• Please do not confuse epost Connect with Canada Post’s other service called simply ‘epost.’ These are not the same service. In fact, Canada Post is discontinuing ‘epost’ later this year.
• Please give epost Connect a try if you receive a link from CAM. This will help us to process your application faster.
Thanks very much from your TC Civil Aviation Medicine representatives.
