COPA is pleased to announce the directors-elect representing the British Columbia and Yukon region.
The successful members in COPA’s 2026 Board of Directors election were Sigmund Bering Sort and David Manning.
Sigmund Bering Sort returns as a familiar face to the COPA Board of Directors, while David Manning is a new addition to the Board.

Sigmund Bering Sort:
“I am deeply grateful for the support and privilege of being re-elected as COPA Director for British Columbia and Yukon.
My dedicated and collaborative work now continues on behalf of all COPA Members as COPA flies on a steady heading of excellence in GA governance. I look forward to seeing many of you along the way wherever and whenever our flight paths cross with a keen interest to listen to your ideas and concerns as well as hear about your respective aviation journeys.”
David Manning:
“Thank you to the members of COPA for your support and confidence. I look forward to representing British Columbia and Yukon and working with the Board to strengthen and protect General Aviation across Canada.”

In accordance with COPA’s by-laws, all successful candidates are directors-elect while pending member ratification at the upcoming 2026 Annual General Meeting set for June 20th in Orillia, ON.
