COPA NJA Scholarship 2008 ($2,000)
Logan Fuller, 16, of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia
Flying runs in the family for Mr. Fuller. His father was a bush pilot in northern Canadan where he flew small aircraft and helicopters.
Ever since trying on his dad’s old dusty helicopter helmet as a child, Mr. Fuller has been in love with flying.
Working long and hard in his first summer job last year, Mr. Fuller understands the cost of flight training. He is actively reviewing his possible career paths in aviation, ranging from the ICPC course at Moncton Flight College to a bachelor of business of administration in aviation and operations management degree with the University of New Brunswick Fredericton Campus.
Mr. Fuller’s immediate goal is to become an airline pilot with the ultimate dream of joining the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Corps.
The scholarship fund was established in 1995 following the death of Neil Armstrong, a long-time COPA member, former director, president and contributing writer.
Contributions to the fund are solicited from the Canadian aviation community. Donations can be made to the COPA Flight Safety Foundation Neil Armstrong Fund. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
The fund is administered by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Canadian Owners and Pilots Association.
